The only thing I really don't like is the bright white spot that's nearly center of the image. I think it detracts from the composition a bit, because it's almost overpowering. I don't know if it's quite so significantly harsh in contrast in physical painting, or if the contrast is exaggerated thanks to the scan/photograph. I think if that white part was darkened just a little bit, so it's still lighter than most of the image but not so bright, it would work a lot better.
